The story of our brewery
How did it all start? Like most things – with one big dream. We want to live in the countryside and build our own microbrewery. So, there was a dream, and now how to make it happen. By selling a plot in Prague, we got the money to buy a farmstead. After seeing the estate in Jílovice, we knew we didn't want to live anywhere else. We all fit here. Us, cats, dogs, horses, chickens, and a peacock, and most importantly – there's space for a microbrewery. They say it's better to burn out than to move. We can only confirm that. Moving is a horror, but we survived it.
From the former stable, we created a place with our own hands where honest Czech beer is made. After months of work, adjustments, and self-help construction, we brewed the first batch of our 12% lager in June 2015.
We brew with quality water from the Novohradské foothills, Czech malt and hops, using the traditional method with open fermentation and long maturation in lager tanks. The result is a beer full of flavour, with a gentle bitterness and the right zest.
We bottle our beer in PET bottles and KEG barrels and sell it directly from the brewery. In summer, you can enjoy it in our garden.

What's new with us
Golden bohemia - 1st place in category: Czech pale lager 11°
This is a prestigious competition judged by an international professional jury. This competition was ceremoniously announced on 27.11. 2025 where our most successful beer Jílovická 11% won 1st place in the category: "Czech pale lager 11°.
Jílovice Championship – Hobbyhorsing
On 31st May 2025, the Children's Championship in hobbyhorsing disciplines took place as usual. We could see great performances in puissance jumping, or get acquainted with an unconventional type of course, where children jump over terrain obstacles and the course is usually longer, so the children have a good run.
10th Brewery Anniversary
On 14th June 2025, we celebrated 10 years since brewing the first batch of Jílovice beer at the brewery. You could see a horseshoe toss, a performance by the Český Krumlov Falconry Centre. As every year, we did beer yoga exercises to have the strength for the highlight of the evening, where we competed in a beer relay.
